One of the most-shared Bedok family guides, dated January 2026, recommends an indoor playground at Bedok Point. Bedok Point closed in July 2022 and the building was demolished. Another lists The Polliwogs at Eastpoint, a chain whose final day of trading was 4 January 2026. A third still has SuperPark, which closed in 2020.

Things to do with kids in Bedok is a question 34,090 children's worth of parents are asking, and the answers online are years out of date. So here is a current list. Everything below was verified in August 2026, and where the commonly repeated facts are wrong, this guide says so.

Where To Find Water Play In Bedok

1. Aqua Adventure at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir

Aqua Adventure is Singapore's first and largest indoor water adventure centre, spread over three storeys. It has the Black Hole Slide, the Double Trouble Slide, a scramble net, the Aqua Course and Clockwork Towers. Because it is indoors, it runs rain or shine, which in Singapore matters more than it should.

Best for confident swimmers aged 8 and up.

2. Heartbeat@Bedok ActiveSG Swimming Complex

Heartbeat@Bedok ActiveSG Swimming Complex is the only public pool in Bedok. It has a competition pool, a sheltered training pool, a learner pool, and an interactive pool with play features and a jacuzzi. Several swim schools run lessons here, including Happy Fish Swim School.

Best for a cheap, straightforward swim, as long as it is not a Thursday.

3. Coastal PlayGrove at East Coast Park

Coastal PlayGrove has a free wading pool and water jets alongside a 16-metre play tower, a nature playgarden and a sand pit. It is the closest thing to free outdoor water play that an east-side family can reach easily, though it sits in East Coast Park Area B rather than in Bedok itself.

Best for water play aged 5 to 12, with the tower for older children.

4. Action Motion at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir

Action Motion is a gamified multi-level obstacle course with AR bouldering, trampolines, climbing walls, a net maze and RFID scoring that tracks each child's run. The entry requirement is a minimum of 20kg, with a 125cm limit only on the highest level, so it takes a considerably younger child than Aqua Adventure downstairs. That combination makes HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir unusually good for families with a wide age gap.

Best for children aged 5 and up who want a challenge rather than soft play.

5. Pirate Land at Eastpoint Mall

Pirate Land is a pirate-themed indoor playground with a ball pit, trampolines, obstacle courses, slides and vacuum ball tubes, built with younger children in mind. It took over the unit left behind when The Polliwogs closed. Entry is around $28.90 for ages 2 to 12 and $15.90 for under-2s, each including one accompanying adult. Open roughly 10.30am to 9pm. Eastpoint Mall connects directly to Simei MRT, which makes this the easiest indoor playground in the east to reach without a car.

Best for toddlers and primary-school children on a wet afternoon.

6. Bedok Reservoir Park

Bedok Reservoir Park wraps 41.7 hectares around the water with a 4.3km loop track, a children's playground near Carpark A, fitness stations, a therapeutic garden and a floating deck. It is the anchor of the whole area and the reason so much else clusters here.

Best for a family cycle or a scooter loop with a playground stop.

7. Bedok Town Park

Bedok Town Park is a quiet 14-hectare neighbourhood park with a foot reflexology path, a small dog run and hornbills along the canal. It is the kind of park that locals use daily and visitors never find. Worth an hour if you are already between Bedok North and Bedok Reservoir stations.

Best for a low-key walk and wildlife spotting rather than play equipment.

8. Marine Cove Playground at East Coast Park

Marine Cove is a 3,500 square metre free playground built around an eight-metre lighthouse tower, with two separate toddler zones for ages 2 to 5 and inclusive equipment throughout. It is one of the best free playgrounds in Singapore and it is open 24 hours, which makes an early evening visit after the heat drops entirely practical.

Best for a free evening out with a wide age range.

9. Eastpoint Mall Rooftop Playground

A small free open-air playground on Level 6 of Eastpoint Mall, built around a blue ship structure with a slide, swings and rope climbing. It is largely unshaded, so this is an early morning or after-5pm proposition rather than a midday one. Convenient if you are already at Pirate Land downstairs.

Best for a free 20 minutes before or after a mall trip.

10. East Coast Park, the Bedok stretch

East Coast Park runs along the whole southern edge of the area. The Bedok stretch covers Areas D, E and F, with cycling and skating paths, the beach, and the Cyclist Park in Area D. Aloha Sea Sports Centre operates watersports along the same stretch.

Best for cycling, skating and a beach afternoon that costs nothing.

11. Bedok Jetty

Bedok Jetty juts out into the sea at East Coast Park Area F and is one of the most popular fishing spots in Singapore. Even without a rod it is worth the walk for the view and the near-permanent breeze. Children find the anglers and their catches more interesting than most paid attractions.

Best for a sunset walk, or a first fishing attempt with an older child.

12. Siglap Park Connector

The Siglap Park Connector is a 7.6km green corridor linking Bedok Reservoir Park, Bedok Town Park, Telok Kurau Park and East Coast Park. It is the practical way to get from the reservoir to the sea on a bike.

Best for confident cyclists aged 6 and up.

13. Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir

Forest Adventure is Singapore's only treetop high-ropes course, with ziplines running out over the reservoir. The Kids Course takes children from age 5 with a 1.1m minimum height, the Junior Course from 10 at 1.35m, and the Grand Course from 12 at 1.45m. Kids and Junior are $38, Grand is $48. Sessions run about an hour. This is the single most distinctive thing to do with children in Bedok.

Best for children aged 5 and up who are not afraid of heights.

14. PAssion Wave at Bedok Reservoir

PAssion Wave runs kayaking and dragon boating on the reservoir, plus courses. The ActiveSG Kid-in-a-Kayak programme here is for ages 9 to 14 and requires a 200-metre unaided swim or SwimSafer Silver, so it is a genuine step up rather than a splash-about. Rental is around $18 for two and a half hours.

Best for confident swimmers aged 9 and up.

15. Xtreme SkatePark at East Coast Park

Xtreme SkatePark covers 1.4 hectares with a street course, a combo bowl and a 3.6-metre vert bowl. It is free and floodlit until 10pm. Worth being clear that this is for confident skaters aged roughly 8 and up, not a general playground, and it can close for competitions.

Best for children who already skate or scoot competently.

16. Heartbeat@Bedok ActiveSG Sport Centre

Sharing the building with the pool and the library, the sport centre has a gym, sport hall, tennis centre and stadium. This is what locals mean when they say Bedok Sports Centre or Bedok Stadium; both now sit under this one roof at this address. ActiveSG academies run here at rates well below private clubs. 17. Bedok Public Library

Bedok Public Library sits across Levels 2 and 3 of Heartbeat@Bedok with around 200,000 items, a dedicated children's section, an early literacy area and a Story Circle. Open 10am to 9pm daily, free, and directly connected to the pool and sport centre, which makes a swim-then-read morning genuinely easy to run.

Best for pairing with the pool in a single trip.

18. Enrichment classes around Bedok

Bedok has one of the deeper enrichment clusters in the east, spread across Heartbeat@Bedok, Bedok Mall and Djitsun Mall. Kumon has a centre inside Heartbeat@Bedok itself. Cristofori Music School is at Bedok Centre and Aureus Academy at Bedok Mall, both from age 3. Yamaha Music School runs out of Kampong Chai Chee Community Club. For movement, The Dance Station is at Bedok North, Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre teaches Chinese dance, and ILDO Taekwondo Academy takes children from age 3. Global Art is at Djitsun Mall and Little Artists Art Studio at Siglap Centre.

Best for families settling into regular weekly classes without leaving the east.

What Has Closed In Bedok (And What Other Guides Still Get Wrong)

Bedok has lost an unusual number of family venues in the last four years, and the guides have not caught up. Every one of these still appears in articles carrying a 2026 date. If you have seen them recommended, they are gone:

• Bedok Point mall and Happy Willow inside it – the mall ceased trading on 1 July 2022 and was demolished. The site is now the Sky Eden@Bedok residential development. One guide dated January 2026 still lists Happy Willow with a price.
• The Polliwogs – the entire chain closed on 4 January 2026, including the Eastpoint and East Coast outlets. Pirate Land now occupies the Eastpoint unit.
• SuperPark Singapore – closed in October 2020, and still the most frequently mis-listed venue in the country.
• The old Bedok Swimming Complex on Bedok North Street 2 – closed in 2017 and demolished. It was replaced by the pool on Level 5 of Heartbeat@Bedok.
• Big Splash – closed in 2016. Coastal PlayGrove stands on the site.
• Wawawa Bistro by the reservoir – permanently closed around 2023.

One more, for anyone hunting the famous mosaic dragon playgrounds: Bedok's was demolished years ago. Only four survive in Singapore and none of them is here.

What It Costs In 2026

Ten of the eighteen are free. Prices and hours were checked in August 2026. Confirm on the venue's own site before travelling, particularly for HomeTeamNS, where member, affiliate and guest rates differ substantially, and for anything at East Coast Park, which has several works closures running into late 2026.

Bedok splits naturally into three days out. The reservoir cluster gives you Forest Adventure, HomeTeamNS and PAssion Wave within one walk. The Heartbeat@Bedok cluster puts the pool, the library and the sport centre in a single building. East Coast Park is the free option for everything else. Pick one and you will not need a car.
